Like most natural stone products, So.Crete concrete sinks, counters, and tables are as durable as they are stunning. But durable does not mean
You can clean your So.Creteproducts in much the same way you would any other natural stone like granite, marble or quartz: Using a mild cleaner, soap or pH wipe and a damp, soft cloth or sponge. There are a number of cleaners on the market formulated specifically for use with stone, or just use a good ol' mild dish soap and water.
Much like those other stones, concrete is porous and can absorb spills if they are left to sit, causing discoloration. So make sure to clean up all spilled liquids and solids ASAP to avoid staining.
Avoid cleaning with harsh chemicals, cleansers, and heavily textured clothes or scouring pads as this may wear down the finish and scratch / discolor the concrete.
Avoid placing hot pots and pans directly on your concrete as the extremes in temperature can discolor the sealer.
Avoid using excessive force around your product. Concrete is very durable but not indestructible. It can be dented, chipped, and broken.
Avoid cutting directly on your concrete. Heavy blows, chopping, and dragging sharp objects across the surface can damage the sealer, which in turn protects your concrete.
Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. While our outdoor products can withstand elements, prolonged exposure to the elements can wear on the sealer and concrete itself. It's a good practice to cover your concrete table tops and other outdoor furniture with a tarp or other cover, especially during extremes in weather.
